We are always looking for volunteers to help organize events, sponsors to help fund our events and friends to just show up and cheer on the competitors! NEWEST EVENTS:
Golden Isles SUP Classic
October 14-15, 2011 St. Simons Island, GA.
The dates have been set for the 2nd Annual Golden Isles SUP Classic "Stroke for Stoke"™. Again there will be two race courses, first a challenging but moderate-length (7-mile) competitive course and a recreational (3-mile) race inside the sand bar. This year we are including additional classes including prone paddleboarding, as well as, a youth relay and a dog on board race. This event is organized and hosted by Whitecap Stand Up Paddleboarding and Davis Love III Classic Paddle and Putt shop. What makes this event unique is one's entry fee for the SUP race will include a free ticket to the McGladrey Classic golf tournament. We anticipate some big-time media attention to the event, too. TV, magazines, some possible celebrities. Come enjoy the typically perfect early fall weather of the Golden Isles both on the water -- and the fairways -- of one of the prettiest places on the East Coast.

Smathers Beach: May 13-15th
Head to the keys for the 2011 Key West Paddleboard Classic, a weekend-long celebration of paddling performance and all-around SUP vibe in the tropical setting of Key West, Fl. Jupiter Paddleboarding will be in attendance and hope everyone stops in to say hello!

St. Petersburg Clearwater Sports Commission Presents the
2011 Gulf Coast SUP Championship
May 21-22, 2011
2 days, 5 races... $10,000 in cash!
Building off lasts years successful race, this year's GCSUPC is no longer a race it is an event. Adding to Saturday's races, the Elite Race and the Open Race, there will be 3 new races on Sunday, a Kids Race, a Relay Race and the debut of Paddle X. The word spread quickly about the GCSUPC after last year's race and we anticipate the most star studded event ever to take place in Florida. Last year's champions Slater Trout and Brandi Baksic are making the trek back along with World Champion Candice Appleby and SUP icon EJ Johnson. We welcome the sanctioning of the World Paddle Association and are happy to be one of their National races by being the region 5 Championship race. Dave Kalama is coming back to host both a Kalama Kamp the week before the race and his race clinic. We are adding a Women's only clinic hosted by Candice Appleby. We are extremely proud of the growth of the GCSUPC and we look forward to this year's event.
