The New 2012 Cabrinha Drifter Quicklink IDS kite is designed around the Kite Surfing sector of sport of kiteboarding. The Drifter's new kite design platform truly hides its technology behind its three strut simplicity. The three meticulously placed struts keep the profile of the kite stable and intact through various angle of attack changes while also reducing the kite overall weight. Although the Drifter is light weight but durable kite is dedicated to surfing with your kite, it also shines as a freestyle kite for wakeskating, skimboarding or even flat water freestyle. While surfing hooked or unhooked the Drifter makes the most of its excellent slack line drift ability. Slack line drift is the kite's ability to stay aloft even when the lines are temporarily slackened by depowering. But the Drifter's main beauty lies in its simplicity. Pat Goodman and Cabrinha's global R and D team has pushed the complicated technology into the background so that all you have to think about is how you're going to drop in and crack section, after section, after section....and not think about the kite....Which is the purest form of actual kite surfing.

New for 2012 is Cabrinha's Quicklink IDS Control System, which comes standard on all 2012 Cabrinha kites. The new Quicklink control system which still features Cabrinha’s industry leading IDS Security System and the ability to have the front flying lines, landing line and leash connection to be all 100% free spinning. After the IDS Push Release has been deployed, the rider is still connected to the completely flagged out and depowered kite. Next, the rider has the option to deploy the second release if needed, which will completely separate the rider from the kite. The 2012 Quicklink has also been outfitted with a new larger control system center line hole that provides easier steering and trimming. Also updated for 2012 are the line winders that now include a new branded Cabrinha appearance.
