So for 2013 Cabrinha haven’t just thrown an “X” in front of the word Caliber and changed the colors and said that’s it. They have improved yet even more on what is now their competition freestyle board. The reason for it now being a competition freestyle board is its unmatched speed and pop. When it comes to speed this board is a bullet, I rode this board in only 8.7 knots of wind and was going as fast as I would in 13 when I dug in. Even in wind that light I was still able to get generous pop off the water while any other board wouldn’t have made it 4 inches. The board has still kept its rocker line down to a fast responsive curve for explosive bursts of speed and excellent upwind skills. To compensate for the low rocker line Cabrinha have engineered the flex to a pro level for massive pop. When you are in need of speed when no other board will deliver grab an X Caliber and unleash explosive pop.
