Water for Kiteboarding

Water is the surface that kiteboarders ride on.
Water Surface Types:
FLAT WATER – Mirror Flat
Where: In offshore Beaches, for example lagoons or leeward sides of islands
Advantages: High Speeds possible, controlled take-off and landing, very comfortable to ride.
CHOPPY WATER – Uneven, chaotic wavy water surface
Where: Almost everywhere
Advantages: Usually Easy to find.
Waves – Sorted Barreling Waves
Where: Rather Close to the beach or breaking over reefs.
Advantages: Possibility to surf waves.
