The Jimmy Lewis Kwad is truly a work of art and could very well possibly be your one board for whatever the conditions. We at Jupiter Padddleboarding know this because it is the one board that 4 of us all want to take out at the same time. It was designed as a bridge model between the nose riding Striker and the Mano which was too aggressive for some people. The reason for this board’s stability is that its hips have been moved forward and the widest point is where you stand. The theory behind the quad fin design is to allow the board to be loose but also be very fast down the line. A Quad fin set up differs from a traditional thruster fin set as a quad does not generate the same amount of speed through turns like a thruster does.
