The Slingshot B-3 trainer provided me a great introduction to what kiters call the wind window, power zone and nuetral zone. It was perfect for learning how to steer using the control bar. I found it a little difficult to control at first, but after some time I was able to fly it like a pro! I actually learned the most in the lighter winds. The kite was also able to handle some serious crashes with no problem.
This is a must have if you are going to become a kiteboarder. Definitely don't skip the trainer kite, you will regret it. This is a great tool for learning the basics. It also give you a good idea of where you can and can't kitesurf. I reccomend flying in some different places to get familiar with the wind.
